Greater sage grouse are declining as sagebrush is lost to development across the West, which could lead to a dire and costly endangered-species listing. So, in northwestern Colorado, ranchers and others are figuring out how they can create a sagebrush marketplace that could make protecting sagebrush and grouse a money maker.
